Since there is the big hype about this type of white sneaker, or one could even they the “Stan Smith kind of sneaker by Adidas”, I was always wondering whether I liked them or not. I guessed that probably they would look too big and chunky on my feet. The Stan Smith sneaker was already famous in the 70s but at that time it was used as a tennis shoe for professionals. The characteristic design of Stan Smith is the coloured heel insert. The clean appearance of this sneaker makes it so suitable for everyday use wich is in my opinion one of the reasons for the big hype these days.
The sneakers that I came across are from H&M. The shape and type of shoe is quite similar. What I really like about the H&M sneakers is that its material is kept even cleaner without any perforation. Besides, I really like the beige colour of the heel insert. So when I tried on the shoes I found out that they do not look chunky at all but really nice and casual. To create a different look than probably expected in combination with such sneakers, I decided to wear a skirt and make the rest of the look a bit more chic. The black skater skirt is a piece from the current C&A collection. The shirt is from H&M but you could also wear a black pullover or any other plain black shirt with this look. To pick up the white colour from the shoes again I decided for some white jewellery. The chocker (necklace) is from Bijou Brigitte. What I like most about this necklace is that it is modest and the white pearls are not too big. The bracelet is from Maiocci but unfortunately from one of the last collections and the ring is a vintage piece from London. Also the clutch is from London. I bought it during one of my last trips to this beautiful city. I adore the newspaper look, its material and the whole way this pretty clutch is made.
What do you think about this type of sneakers? Have you already become a fan as I just did? Looking forward to your comments!
